Work It! for a good cause

This weekend was full of events! On Saturday, I attended the Work It! Fashion Show at the new Goodwill Store in San Antonio. It was hosted by the Goodwill Bloggers, among them was upcycle designer Agosto Cuellar. Dubbed “Wildcard Cuellar” by Tim Gunn on Project Runway, Agosto has made the fashion scene not only interesting but also sustainable; right up my alley. The show was fantastic! The runway was full of layering, unexpected twists and wonderful people. I had a great time and I donated a huge bag full of clothes and a pair of Michael Antonio shoes, new in the box. I wonder how whoever purchases the items gives it all new life. For the event I wore an oversized t-shirt with cut-off sleeves, keeping with the reuse theme, and vegan leather shorts from H&M. I finally got to wear the creamy vest by Mossimo for Target that I’d been after for over a month!

Este fin de semana estuvo lleno de eventos! El Sábado fui al Work It! Fashion Show en la nueva tienda de Goodwill en San Antonio. Los anfitriones del evento fueron los Goodwill Bloggers y entre ellos estaba el diseñador, Agosto Cuellar. Nombrado el “Wildcard Cuellar” por Tim Gunn en Project Runway, Agosto ha revolucionado la industria de la moda al reusar y reciclar ropa para convertirla en una nueva pieza interesante. Moda sustentable en su mayor esplendor! La pasarela estuvo llena de capas, sorpresas inesperadas y gente maravillosa. La pasé super bien y hasta doné ropa y un par de zapatos Michael Antonio, nuevos en su caja. Me alegra pensar como otra persona le dará nueva vida a esas piezas. Para el evento, llevé puesto una t-shirt grande con las mangas recortadas, manteniendo el tema del reuso, y unos cortos de H&M. Por fin, pude estrenar mi chaleco crema de Mossimo para Target, que andaba más de més detrás de él!
