By now, you are probably well aware of my obsession with Goodwill. As if I needed another reason to love Goodwill, now they went ahead and opened a Boutique concept store that has been beautifully curated with handbags, jewelry, hats, accessories and so much more called Accents: A Goodwill Boutique! So, on my maiden voyage I found incredible treasures from name brand designer to true vintage pieces. Here’s what I found!
Handbags

As soon as you walk in the store, which is located on I-410 and Blanco Rd. adjacent to the Blanco Rd. Goodwill Store in San Antonio, TX, you immediately notice the featured Brand/Designer of the week. As you turn your left, you spot color coordinated racks of designer handbags like Michael Kors, Coach, Dooney & Burke, Kate Spade and tons more. I spotted the neutral printed Coach bag first and absolutely fell in love with how pristine it was, with no visible marks or stains. I’m pretty sure this comes with a long strap because I’ve seen this style before with it, but for $39.99, I have plenty of bags that I can match a longer strap to carry as a cross-body bag. The quilted cross-body Michael Kors was spotted from a distance and I must have picked it up and put it back a few times before finally deciding that it was too good to not grab it at $19.99. The last Coach bag is a Tartan print and I spotted it on the display near the front right next to the Antiques and Vintage section. the bag barely fits my cell phone, but for $19.99 I just needed it for Holiday looks.
Shoes

These clogs were New Without Tags and though they’re technically a 1/2 size bigger, they actually fit perfectly and are possibly the most comfortable pair of shoes I own, period. I looked them up online and this exact style retails for $99.95 and I found these brand new, completely never-worn shoes for only $19.99. They are perfect for Fall and Winter in South Texas, especially because it doesn’t get very cold here.
Belts
I have been on the hunt for interesting belts with fun buckles for quite some time, and the week of their Grand Opening, Accents had the featured brand table beautifully set up with Brighton accessories. Their belt collection is absolutely gorgeous, so I had to have one! To be honest, I got so excited when I found this belt at $9.99, that I didn’t think to try it on. I saw it said M and I assumed it would fit. As soon as I got home and tried it on, it barely fit on my natural waist on the very last hole! Either I have to lose 2 inches immediately or only wear it with ultra high waisted bottoms or with loose dresses. Either way, I’m gonna wear this dang belt! LOL! On a second trip I found 2 more cool belts which were on sale for 2 for $10. The turquoise isn’t exactly my style, but it was interesting enough to style with a muted or toned down look where the belt is the stand-out piece. The white braided belt was really cool, so i’ll be styling that one with multiple looks throughout the year.
Jewelry
Jewelry! OMG, there are floor to ceiling walls just stacked with all styles of jewelry. There are also tables decorated by theme or color with different pieces including jewelry, handbags, hats and other accessories. There’s also curated cabinet with real Antiques & Vintage pieces. I spotted a Cameo necklace, which I loved, but for whatever reason I didn’t grab it. And you well know, with Goodwill if you love something, you better buy it because the chances of it still being there the next time you visit are pretty low. I did, however find a pretty pair of vintage butterfly earrings, rose gold colored hoops and 2 gold toned necklaces. All jewelry is 2 for $5 unless they are specialty pieces. I also found very cool shades that flip up and a pair of small aviators at 2 for $10. I had spotted a pair of Ray-bans but they were a little more worn that I would be able to fix.
Sunglasses

Hats
I think this must be my favorite piece of all. I’ve never owned a fascinator before, but as soon as I saw this one, I fell in love. I believe it was $14.99 and it’s perfect for a Halloween costume, a socially distanced picnic or a tea party. I’m obsessed and already styled several outfits with it. More to come! So, these are the items I purchased on my first 2 visits to Accents. I absolutely love how the store is designed and looks like a beautiful accessories boutique. I love how organized and coordinated the store is and finding items is so easy! I have to give a big shoutout to my friend and Goodwill San Antonio Fashion Merchandiser, Agosto Cuellar, for styling and organizing this store to look incredibly polished and high-end. If you’re in the San Antonio area, you should definitely check out Accents: A Goodwill Boutique located 717 NW Loop 410 San Antonio, TX 78216.
I did a little haul video showing everything I snagged. Check it out!
