Gladiate

Fashion Week South was my first “fashion week” working on official capacity with Style Lush TV. It was absolute madness and so much running around, but I loved every minute of it. From meeting Fern Mallis, Project Runway designers, to high fashion designers brought in from New York and Milan and even Mike Beaty, who modeled in the 60’s with the iconic Twiggy and runs one of the largest Talent & Model Expos in America. This experience was absolutely fascinating and if I didn’t prepare it could have been so overwhelming. I may have worn heels the first day, but I made sure to wear comfortable shoes throughout the week. I wasn’t willing to sacrifice style so I opted for a pair of chunky heels the 2nd day and gladiator sandals on the 3rd day. I’d worn this dress before, but I gave it new life with a sleeveless ivory vest and the sandals. I was comfortable, able to beat the heat and was right on with my Summer look. Can’t wait for the Fashion Week San Antonio this Fall and do it all over again!

  1. That's incredible that you got to work during fashion week! It must have been so hectic! It's one of my dreams to be in a city during fashion week – I can't imagine the energy and glamour in one place!Angelina Is

  2. It was awesome seeing you at one of the events! Going to the Eilan is one of my favorite spots for pictures. You look great in them! I'm never brave enough to pull off gladiators, but you look wonderful in them! 🙂 Hope we cross paths again very soon!-Priscillawww.CasaDeCosmo.com

  3. I relate to this! I feel slightly allergic to practical shoes so I'm constantly struggling and searching for cute shoes that won't kill me if I have to be on my feet all day. REALLY cute gladiator sandals! I just made my first purchase of that style and am waiting on them in the mail! XO-Lauren Blairwww.prefertobedemure.com

  4. Such a cute look. I love how you were able to put the look together, at such modest price point. Now that shows skill when it comes to shopping & doing your research. I also applaud you for going with the nude gladiator sandal. A lot of girls (here in NYC) are wearing them in black. Which is fine but unlike you, it's totally cutting off their leg line. Clearly you know, when small in stature…. you want to elongate. Smart move on your part. Love it!www.stylegonerogue.com
