Right after the wedding weekend, we were able to spend one night in New York City during our layover back to Texas. Hubs and I got a room in Times Square and were able to eat at my favorite restaurant, Carmine’s in the Theater District, a New York staple. The weather was starting to get cool so I paired a Maxi dress with my vegan leather jacket and some gladiator sandals. My aunts kept telling me that it was cold, but my suitcase simply couldn’t fit anything more than wedding weekend attire. It turned out to be bearable. The city was alive and vibrant, just as it always is. I can’t wait to get back and spend a little more time in my birthplace.
Justo despues del fin de semana de boda, pasamos una noche en Nueva York durante la escala en nuestro vuelo de regreso a Texas. El esposito y yo conseguimos una habitación en Times Square y cenamos en mi restaurante italiano, Carmine’s en el Distrito de Teatros, una institución nuyorquina. El clima empezaba a bajar asi que combiné un traje maxi con mi jacket de cuero vegano y unas sandalias gladiadoras. Mis tías insistieron que hacía mucho frío, pero mis maletas sólo tenían espacio para todo mi atuendo de bodas y de ambiente tropical para Punta Cana. Me pareció manejable, no estaba tan frío. La ciudad estaba viva y vibrante, como siempre. No puedo esperar a regresar y pasar un poco mas tiempo en mi ciudad cuna.
