Hi, loves! Happy New Year! I hope you’ve all had an amazing Holiday Season! I’ve been on a much needed, long vacation in Puerto Rico. I wanted to talk about one of the most unforgettable experiences I had in 2016. Today, I’m sharing my experience at the 2nd Annual San Antonio Fashion Awards! As part of the amazing Style Lush TV team, we started preparing for the Award show early in the year. As the date approached, we got more and more excited, securing the venue at the Tobin Center for Performing Arts, performances, nominees, presenters, sponsors, etc. A month away from the show date, I secured our glam squad with Smooth Lines Salon & Spa and fabulous designer, Geeda Jones of Geeda. J Fashion, was set to make my custom dress. I was inspired by Cate Blanchett’s 2016 Oscar’s dress, so Geeda designed a gorgeous lace off-the-shoulder mermaid gown. I wanted a color that was different from the typical Fall colors, so we went for this turquoise. We’re both from the Caribbean, so it reminded us of the sea! The lining was midnight blue, keeping with the Fall trend. Our jewelry was custom made by incredibly talented jewelry designer, Priscilla Martinez-Gamer, for her latest collection for Joyarte Couture Jewelry. I felt fabulous while working as the Red Carpet correspondent for Style Lush TV. Our glam squad was amazing and we just felt like movie stars! I’m already thinking of what I wear for the 2017 Awards, but still dreaming of this magical night last October!

Hola amores! Feliz Año Nuevo! Espero que hayan pasado unas muy felices Pascuas! He estado de vacaciones largas y muy necesarias en Puerto Rico. Les quería contar sobre una de las experiencias inolvidables que tuve en el 2016, el 2do San Antonio Fashion Awards. Como parte del equipo de Style Lush TV, comenzamos a prepararnos a principios de año. Mientras se acercaba la fecha, nos emocionábamos más y más cuando aseguramos el local en el Tobin Center of Performing Arts, el entretenimiento, nominadxs, presentadores, auspicios, etc. A un mes de la fecha del espectáculo, aseguré quien nos iba a realizar el maquillaje y peinados con Smooth Lines Salon & Spa, y confirmé la confección de mi traje con una diseñadora fabulosa, Geeda Jones de Geeda. J Fashion. Yo estuve inspirada con el vestido de Cate Blanchett de los Premios Oscar 2016, así que Geeda diseñó un traje de encajes con los hombros expuestos y cola de sirena. Quería un color diferente a los típicos de Otoño y como la diseñadora y yo ambas somos caribeñas, decidimos por un color turquesa porque nos recordaba al mar. El interior era en azul medianoche, manteniéndonos con la tendencia de Otoño. Esa noche, mientras trabajaba como corresponsal de Style Lush TV para la alfombra roja, me sentí tan fabulosa! Nuestro equipo de belleza se esmeró esa noche, haciéndonos sentir como estrellas de Hollywood! Ya estoy pensando en mi look del próximo evento a finales del 2017, pero aún no he bajado de la nube de esta noche tan mágica en Octubre!
