Blooming Lotus

You all know how much I love and embrace my curly hair, but I also love to switch it up every once in a while. Fortunately, my hair allows room for versatility, so I can wear it naturally curly or I can blow dry it for a sleek look. I honestly don’t blow it out myself very often for 2 reasons: 1 I’m too lazy and 2 I’m afraid of causing myself severe heat damage (cause you can’t really see what you’re doing). Luckily, the Blo Blow Dry Bar at Dominion Ridge recently opened it’s doors! This concept salon is dedicated to the everyday woman, who just wants to go in and out for a fabulous styling and go about their day or get ready for an event. I had the pleasure of testing my latest haircut against a blow dryer and the results were fabulous! I absolutely loved my stylist! She was very gentle and informative. She was telling me about the proper way to wash your hair before a blowout to avoid frizz and showed me the way she sectioned off my hair to get maximum results in a short amount of time. The best part was how she gentle she handled the heat. See, I’m Dominican and I’m used to getting burned on my scalp during the styling process and holding my ears down to avoid the concentrated heat from burning them off, lol. This was the complete opposite! I barely even felt her handling my hair and nearly fell asleep it was so relaxing. Today is day 4 and it’s still holding up. Their prices are very affordable, regardless of your length of hair and their styling menu has a great variety of options for your needs. I Love it and will definitely be going back to them for my next event or just to treat myself.

Ustedes bien saben lo mucho que amo mi cabello rizado, pero también me gusta variarlo de vez en cuando. Afortunadamente, mi cabello me permite una versatilidad para tanto llevarlo naturalmente rizado como lacio. Honestamente, no me paso blower con frecuencia por 2 razones: 1 soy muy vaga y 2, me da miedo causarme daño a la hebra por la aplicación de calor (ya que uno realmente no vé lo que hace). Po suerte, recientemente abrieron sus puertas en Blo Blow Dry Bar en el Dominion Ridge! Este concepto de saló está dedicado para la mujer con poco tiempo que desea arreglarse el cabello, entrar y salir con un estilo fabuloso con facilidad y continuar con su día o prepares para algún evento. Tuve el placer de poner a prueba mi nuevo recorte con un estilo lacio y los resultados fueron espectaculares! Me encantó mi estilista! Trató a mi cabello con cariño y me brindó mucha información. Me habló sobre la técnica de lavado apropiada para evitar un cabello pajoso y la mejor manera de seccionar el cabello para obtener resultados óptimos durante el secado. La mejor parte fue la manera que manejó el calor del secado. Como saben, soy Dominicana y estoy acostumbrada a un secado doloroso con calor aplicado directamente al cráneo, y tener que aguantarme las orejas para evitar que me las quemen, jeje… Esta experiencia fue justo lo contrario! Apenas la sentí secando mi cabello y casi me quedo dormida de lo relajarte que fue el secado. Estamos a día 4 y aún se vé bien en el estilo. Sus precios son muy accesibles, sin importar el largo de tu cabello y tienen un menú variado de estilos que se acomodan a tus necesidades. Me encantó la experiencia y definitivamente que vuelvo antes de mi próximo evento o simplemente para darme un gustito.
