The Raw Experience

Have you ever been to a hair salon and had a full on out of body experience? I hadn’t… until I visited Raw Hair Studio! As soon as you step in the studio, which is a re-purposed historic home, you are received by friendly staff that knows you by name, with soothing scents of chamomile and eucalyptus, comfortable grandiose chairs and delicious hot tea. I was attended by owner and Master Stylist, Anna, who’s expertise and skill from 18 years experience just oozes out of her every fiber. As soon as she saw my hair, she began to explain to me about the art of the curl. Things that I didn’t even know about my own hair! Before we even got started she gave me a soothing scalp massage, using Aveda Mint essential oil. It feels incredible! She brushed out my hair and explained that I should do this once a week, with a special pain free brush; even though I had a Diana Ross situation, my hair was really soft! After a soothing and deep cleansing shampoo, she (and a small army) tackled my hair for the smoothest blowout I’ve ever had! Using all Aveda products, during my blowout I received complimentary hand massages and makeup touch-up. I was absolutely pampered, and that was a full Raw experience, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced at a salon. It was pure bliss, and left with amazing hair! Definitely worth taking that 2 hour lunch!

  3. Thank you so much, Tatiana! I rarely blow out my hair, so when I do, people do a double take because they don't recognize at first. Haha!XoJeanie
