Birthday Spa at Home with Boohoo + Soap & Glory

Hello, lovely Lotuses! I’m so happy because I just celebrated my birthday and I had an amazing fun-filled weekend with my husband and my friends who came to visit from Puerto Rico. We showed them around town and drove to Fredericksburg, Texas’ very own Wine Country. After an intense weekend of going to so many places, eating good food and enjoying libations, I found myself kind of drained, so I needed a “Treat Yourself Day” on Monday, the actual birthday. After sleeping in, I gave myself a spa experience, thanks to the spa care package I received from Soap & Glory and Summer is upon us and I just need to really take care of my skin. I wanna be able to wear that super cute swimsuit from Boohoo, but first my skin needs to be on point. First, I started my day by drinking two glasses of water. Then I went straight to the under eye masks. Believe me, I needed them. While they worked their magic, I tried the Body Butter and Hand Food. I suffer from severely dry hands, and this cream is amazing! They hydrate without leaving any greasy feeling, and it smells so good! After washing my face, I tried the 365 Moisture Lotion. I like it because it can be used for Day/Night, it smells incredible and it has Bio Peptides, which is all the rage in skin care. I was also delighted to find that Soap & Glory products can be found at Target, where I basically half a day finding fun decor for my Summer “home revamp”. My care package was chock full of fab products for my Sunday Spa Days, so I’ll definitely be using them throughout the rest of Spring through the Summertime.

Lunch at Pharm Table

Happy Friday, loves! In my quest for healthy food options, knowing that I can’t always bring lunch to work from home, I have found the most amazing café close to my downtown office. I actually learned about Pharm Table online, via Instagram through my foodie friends’ pics. I was elated when I found that they were part of Uber Eats, so I ordered my first meal from them about 2 weeks ago. I tried the Quinoa Pizza, and it was delicious! So, when I had a meeting at our downtown office, I looked up to see what healthy restaurants were around, and what’ll you know, Pharm Table was a 5 minute walk from there! Pharm Table offers weekly meal plans for your vegan, high protein, low carb, or cleansing needs. They also have delicious desserts like their vegan cashew “cheesecake” and chocolate truffles. They treat food like medicine, as it should be and it’s all packed with flavor. From soups, to salads, to pizza and ceviche, they offer a wide variety of delicious healthy foods, all sourced from local farms.  For lunch, I had the zucchini soup and the ceviche with organic sweet potato mash, which is served on Thursdays and Fridays. They serve the food in interesting plates and bowls and all the tableware is sustainable, zero disposable plastics. I have to say, I really enjoyed my dining experience with them. Just really amazing, feel good, delicious food.

Ceviche is served on Thursdays and Fridays

Inside the Dressing Room: Versona

Spring is finally in full Bloom and it’s definitely time to update our wardrobe for the upcoming months. I had the opportunity to preview the 2017 Spring Collection at the Versona store at Huebner Oaks Mall. It was my first time visiting the store, I’d driven by it many times, but hadn’t had the chance to step inside until now. I was surprised to see how big the store is and how much apparel they had! I honestly thought it was strictly accessories, but as it turns out, you can leave the store with you entire outfit from head to toe. The have clothing that takes you from the office, to happy hour, even for the weekend! They specialize in accessories and jewelry, also including shoes, bags, sunglasses, active wear and fun gift sets. It really is a one stop shop! What I loved the most about it was the prices. They are really affordable with dresses ranging in the $40 mark, and even sale prices starting at $11.99 (I LOVE a good sale!) and beautiful jewelry pieces that don’t go higher that $45. I tried on pieces from the 2017 Spring Lookbook and loved so many pieces, that it made it really difficult to select what I was going to keep, but I know I’ll definitely be coming back soon for more! Here’s what I tried on.

Cutout Mock Neck Shift Dress
Haloed Filigree Earring
Seamed Ankle Pant
Belted Wrap Peplum Tank , Strappy Block Heel Sandals
Plunge Neck Ponte Top , Herringbone Linen Wide Leg Pants , Mixed Fabric Choker
Ruffled Asymmetrical Skimmer Top , Layered Chain Choker & Pleated Floral A-Line Skirt
Pleated Asymmetrical Peplum Top, Flower Clister Bib Necklace, Distressed Girlfriend Jeans, Textured Woven Strapped Shoeties
Glitter Speckled Tee, Distressed Girlfriend Jeans, Mixed Media Moto Jacket,
Graphic Polka Dot High-Low Top, White Distressed Girlfriend Jeans
Which pieces do you think I took home?!
