Bridesmaids dresses

Ah, the hunt for Bridesmaids dresses. This was interesting. My initial idea was for them to have the same shade of “Brazilian Blue”, but with different necklines and shapes. I really wanted them to feel comfortable and wear dresses that suited their body types and budgets. Then I saw some pictures of “ombre” style positioning with each maid wearing a different shade of the chosen color and I fell in love! I really love the way they turned out because they look like different shades of the ocean. (My sister had a snafu with her original dress, which was supposed to be a turquoise dress, but my amazing mother came to the rescue with the Brazil Blue and she looked gorgeous.) I still got my Blue, but throw in Turquoise, Mist and Seafoam and we had the full range. They looked beautiful and they were so happy with there looks.
Ay, la búsqueda de los trajes de Damas. Esto fue interesante. Mi idea inicial era que todas tuvieran un traje del mismo color “Azul Brazileño”, pero con diferentes cortes. Yo quería que todas se sintieran cómodas con trajes que acentuaban sus cuerpos y estuvieran en sus presupuestos. Luego vi unas photos en donde las damas tenían distintas tonalidades del color escogido, creando un séquito con efecto “ombre” y me fascinó! De verdad que me encantó como quedamos porque todas tenían diferentes tonos del mar. (Mi hermana tuvo un percance con su traje original, que era turquesa, entonces mi querida Madre vino al rescate con un traje azul “Brazil” y ella quedó preciosa.) Así que terminé con mi Azul, y con el Turquesa, “Mist” y “Espuma de Mar” teníamos la gama completa. Ellas se veían hermosas y estaban contentas con su look.

Quick sidenote:

Most of my bridesmaids live in Puerto Rico, with the exception of 2. I had a Bridal Shower thrown by my friend and Bridesmaid Gia, here in San Antonio (see post here), but they all got together and planned a surprise Bachelorette party for me the night before the wedding. The most fabulous party in one of the suites with champagne and fun games, followed by clubbing at the resort Disco afterwards. They designed these amazing t-shirts themed “The Real Bridesmaids of Jeanelly’s Wedding”. I loved it so much I even teared up when they came out to meet with me for the Rehearsal Dinner. I love my girls so much! I’m so grateful to have them in my life and to them for making my wedding weekend such an amazing experience.
Nota Al calce:
La mayoría de mis damas vive en Puerto Rico, con la exepción de 2. Mi gran amiga y dama, Gía me organizó una fiesta de Bridal Shower aquí en San Antonio (lee el artículo aquí), pero todas se juntaron para organizar una Despedida de soltera la noche antes de la boda. Fue la fiesta más fabulosa en una de las suites con champaña y juegos divertidos, seguido de una noche bailando en la disco del Resort. Ellas diseñaron unas camisas brutales con el tema de “The Real Bridesmaids of Jeanelly’s Wedding”. Me encantó tanto que hasta se me aguaron los ojos cuando se encontraron conmigo para la cena de ensayo. Amo tanto a mis chicas! Estoy tan agradecida por tenerlas en mi vida y ellas por hacer de mi fin de semana de bodas una experiencia inolvidable.
