In the land of Flats

I’ve always been a major fan of high heels, very high heels. Maybe it’s because of my height, or lack there of; I’m standing short at 5’2″. But since I work on my feet all day, I’ve always hidden a pair of neutral flats in my office to rest my “barking dogs” after a long day of training. Those days are gone, I’ve started to notice how great flats are and how stylish they can really be! Walking around the city, brunch, and work are no longer a dreadful task. I’ll save the pumps for Date Night/ Girl’s Night…

Fall into Color

The tendency to start wearing black during fall is out the door. This season rich colors are in order. Everything from Oxblood, Berry, Hunter Green, Navy Blue, Blood Orange to even Mustard are seen on clothes, shoes, handbags, accessories. Men’s clothes and shoes are a big on these colors as well. Deep rich colors for make-up and nails are an alternative if you’re not looking to make a commitment to buying a head to toe outfit (you can stick to your basic black and Camel, and never go wrong).

Mixing Textures

We’re at the transitional period where we can mix textures to a point that we can still use some of our leftover summer pieces, and add a little something extra that can translate seamlessly into Fall. Don’t be afraid to grab your short skirts, and light dresses from your closet. By adding a chunky sweater, opaque tights and your favorite pair of oxford booties, you’ve just transitioned to the perfect, practical Fall Look. (And nobody said it was too early for a little Leather & Lace)

Emmy 2012

In the midst of the 2012 Emmy Awards fashion frenzy, we always tend to try to pick out the “Best” and “Worst” dressed. All I could think of was, “I wish I had the guts to stand in front of millions of people and pose for the camera without tripping on my own feet”. Nonetheless, I simply had to pick out my absolute favorite dresses and suits (yes, the men were looking quite dapper as well).

One of the best parts is finding similar looks inspired by these! I found this incredible website that makes our celebrity wishes come true. I personally haven’t purchased anything from them yet, but they have great reviews and the happy customers post pictures of their fabulous looks once they’ve received them and styled them. You can go to and see for yourself!
